The Orthopedic Clinic on the Charité Campus Mitte and the Clinic for Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery on the Charité Campus Virchow-Klinikum united in October 2003 to form the Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery (CMSC). The formation of this center complies with the recommendation of the commission of experts for restructuring clinical medicine in Berlin.
The center provides the highest medical care to national and international patients at a university level. The medical experts cover surgeries as well as conservative treatments and offer the whole spectrum of modern orthopedic, traumatological and reconstructive surgery.
In the Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery highly specialized departments have been established. These Centers of Excellence offer treatments of the highest quality in order to provide the best medicine and successful care for patients.
