The Julius Wolff Insitute organises periodical symposia about the latest topics in the field of bone regeneration.

This international workshop brings together scientists in health care, biological sciences, biomechanics and ergonomics to share, discuss their recent research results on the spine. The topics cover trunk loads, postures and motions, tissue mechanical tolerance, biological responses to mechanical load, failure and pain generation, measurements and model studies in sports, occupational and daily living tasks.

Each year PhD students from the Berlin-Brandenburg School of Regenerative Therapies (BSRT) organize a symposium on different aspects of Regenerative Medicine for their peers in Berlin and around the world.

The OrthoLoad Club was founded in 2013 and is dedicated to information exchange and discussions between scientific, clinical and industrial partners on problems in joint replacement and their possible solutions. Members of the OrthoLoad Club have the opportunity to access the whole data fundus of in vivo measured joint loading under guidance of the research partners. At regular meetings, new experimental findings will be presented and discussed.

This practical course is designed for researchers who intend to use small animal models to study bone healing. In this course participants will receive hands-on experience and perform the surgical procedures on rodents under the guidance of scientific experts with longstanding professional experience in small animal model surgery. Participants will also learn about the analytical methods used at the Julius Wolff Institute.
