DFG Senate Commission Publishes Recommendations to Strengthen University Medicine / Joint Symposium with Berlin Institute of Health

One of the central tasks of university medicine is the translation of basic scientific research results into new preventive, diagnostic or therapeutic methods for human application. In order to continue to be able to fulfil this task, university medicine must continue to develop structurally, financially and strategically. The Senate Commission for Fundamental Issues in Clinical Research of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) has drawn up recommendations aimed at strengthening translational research in university medicine. They will be presented to the public on 8 October 2019 at a symposium organised jointly with the BIH Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT).
