Following his graduation for his PhD at the Univerity of Bath, Bill Taylor joined the Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery  at the Charité in the year 2000. He worked there in the research laboratory of the clinic for trauma surgery  and orthopaedics and jointly with his colleagues he built an international visible research team. He analyses kinematics and gait patterns and thus helps to evaluate the aetiopathology of patients and led to the early identification of neuromuscular pathologies. In 2012 he was appointed Professor for Biomechanics at the the ETH Zürich.
