Expertise
Prof. Dr. Hendrik Schmidt is head of the Spine Team at the Julius Wolff Institut, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He has long-standing expertise in the assessment of spinal mechanics, morphology and motion. Among others, he created a large database on spine morphology and motion of more than 1000 individuals. Together with Professor Aboulfazl Shirazi-Adl and PD Idsart Kingma, he is the founder and initiator of the biannual international workshop on “Spinal Loading and Deformation” in Berlin and, in doing so, drives the path for a worldwide unique focus on the interplay between spine loading and mobility.“
