Workshops on Spine Loading and Deformation
With our workshop we aim to bring together researchers active in different disciplines and fields of application in health care, biological sciences, biomechanics, and ergonomics to share, discuss, and re-examine the potentials of their recent studies on the spine. The research topics should cover trunk loads, postures and motions (imaging, sensors, and video camera), tissue mechanical tolerance, biological responses to mechanical load, failure and pain generation, measurements and model studies in sports, occupational and daily living tasks, with a focus on the lumbar and thoracic regions of spine.

Spine Loading and Deformation
2nd Internationla Workshop 2017
44 internationally recognized experts presented their recent achievements in 8 scientific sessions, focusing on various aspects of trunk loads and motions, in vivo and in vitro, through motion capture, measurement of forces, imaging and computational models. The reported findings are potentially important in risk prevention and proper management of disorders in sports and clinical rehabilitation.

Spine Loading and Deformation
1st International Workshop 2015
Mechanical loading and deformation in human spine during diurnal activities are recognized to play a major role in the etiology of back disorders and pain. A comprehensive knowledge of these loads/deformations is a basic prerequisite for effective risk prevention and assessment in workplace, sports and rehabilitation, proper management of various disorders, and realistic preclinical testing of spinal implants.
